Gonna have to disagree. It’s not about staying thin, but generally the freshman 15 is from a more sedentary lifestyle and excess alcohol consumption, which aren’t healthy. Do your best to stay in shape and eat healthy! You’ll feel so much better overall.
Idk who needs to hear this but PLEASE don’t worry about the ‘freshman 15’ and just enjoy the college experience 💗

as someone who was constantly walking and did absolutely no alcohol in my freshman year, i think it’s about reliant food/stress/depression moreso than anything else

idk i don’t think it’s that big of a deal. obviously staying healthy is important but college is probably the only time you’ll be within walking distance of all your friends and when you’ll be able to go out whenever you want. if you gain some weight bc you’re partying with your friends there’s time to lose it, but you can’t get those memories back if you skip out bc you’re worried about the freshman 15

gaining weight can be perfectly healthy, and i think it’s messed up to tell ppl to limit alcohol not for their own safety but for weight reasons. imagine trying to have a good time and then suddenly being reminded of this and feeling horrible abt urself

Wdym, typically when you start college you walk and bike everywhere in a walkable town bc you usually don’t bring your car freshman year?? Gaining a few pounds doesn’t make you not in shape or healthy anymore

Idk how people are more sedentary during that time, I was getting at least 8k steps in daily on weekdays walking all around campus during my first semester
