being brunette is not the same as being a minority. and when minority women are talking about being ostracized and feeling undesirable bc of their skin color is not the time to bring it up. you can dye your hair blonde, we cant dye our skin. thank youuuuu

so theres a trend on tiktok with the sza lyric “the price of being black in suburbia” where black suburban girls are showing themselves in group photos trying to show them them trying to assimilate and theres like an absurd amount of brunette white who jumped on it to say they experience the same thing. and as a black girl who grew up in suburbia…it happens quite often unfortunately

^that was full of thpos but u get the gist. it is a thing that i personally have been experiencing for my entire life. trying to tell white groups how hard it is to be completely blacklisted from dating bc im black, and they tell me they understood bc they’re not blonde😭
