a red flag in men i have noticed: when i talk about SA victims and their first and immediate reaction is to bring up men who are falsely accused of SA

For a lot of men, there’s a disconnect for empathy unless it happens to them or someone close to them like their mother or sister

That’s true, but I also think a lot of these men are being fed a lot of lies and propaganda about how common this stuff is and—given male victims are even more likely to be hesitant to speak up about their experiences—they’re getting a heavily distorted view of the reality
