People not understanding the gen z stare is so funny to me bc yall are just proving the point 😭. It’s not about staring at people when they’re being rude is when you walk into somewhere and instead of greeting you the person just stares and waits for you

The “gen z stare” is a direct product of the American obsession with the idea that the customer idea is always right and that we are not supposed to talk back to the customer and other countries don’t have this problem because they care about employees

The amount of times I’ve walked into somewhere and the person working that’s my age or younger just looks at me blankly instead of saying “what would you like” or “how many people are in your party” or even “hello” is concerning. Service jobs are not for everyone pls switch to something non customer facing if you think that’s okay (as someone that’s had multiple hospitality jobs)
