This is a real one. I was in a borderline cult religious group and the indoctrination is so strong. The only way I got out of it was because people were patient and kind and helped me to challenge my own views and see where things didn’t make sense. I get so frustrated when I see others in cult mentalities but I know what it’s like. Logic doesn’t matter when you’re so brainwashed. Like you said boundaries are important. But when it’s to the point you’re shunning people and pushing them away-
