The fact so many of them don’t think women face any discrimination anymore is insane. It’s also just kinda bugging me because they’ve shifted the entire conversation away from women’s rights and safety and towards men’s feelings. Like I’m sorry that some feminist hurt your feelings, but why does that mean you don’t advocate for my safety?

a lot of them are actually just not educated on the topic and refuse to listen. they take criticism against the patriarchy as a personal slight because they think patriarchy = men, when it is actually the system. it’s a concept not a group of people. it is like white people saying that an anti-slavery stance is crazy and feeling personally offended by it. like we aren’t criticizing YOU we are criticizing the societal structure that has been put in place that, btw, also harms men in different way
