So I recently learned a lot of the jobs posted are fake and it’s companies just gathering data they can later sell

Anyone else parents not understanding of the job market situation ? They seem to think I can just send my resume in and boom get work at a major hospital for 25+ an hour. I can’t even get a job at mcdonalds

Same. I also got an email yesterday from a company I applied to like 6 months ago saying their system was hacked and so they can’t guarantee protection of the stuff they asked me to submit 🤦🏻‍♀️ like great now they have all my personal information thanks so much
