Hey sorry to keep bothering yall about this, but someone suggested opill and i completely forgot that that was a thing. Could I start opill tomorrow and be covered for the weekend if im already on cycle day 9 (ovulation on day 15)

Yes, 7 days is for combo pills. Opill is a progestin-only pill and does not rely on preventing ovulation. You just need to continue for 7 days after sex too.

Well it’s a progestin only pill so it supposedly starts working within 48 hours of the first pill, but I know the general rule of thumb is to assume you’re not fully protected until day 7 so that just makes me a little nervous

as long as you use condoms you’ll be ok. especially if you pull out. i have sex all throughout the month and only use condoms and i’m ok

Omg okay that’s what I was hoping. I think opill is my best bet. I’m might try to stick with it for the whole month just to see how it affects me. I’ve never been on birth control (or taken a plan b) in my life, which is why I’m so stressed about making sure I do it right for the maximum efficacy and minimum side effects. So if it turns out my body is okay with opill I might just ask my doctor about getting on long term hormonal BC.
