I think I kinda empathize with the ‘college is a scam’ thing bc sometimes the job is got more with outside projects and connections than the stuff ur learning in school, and some degrees don’t adequately prep u or lead u to those, but that’s more of an industry problem than with college itself
I agreed with all of these, but the college one is a bit tricky. I mean, you’re racking up an obscene amount of debt because the world conditions you to believe college is a necessity to survive in this world when it isn’t always. You can educate yourself. Plus, jobs won’t always accept you even if you have a master’s degree for stupid reasons. In my opinion, I’m not going to judge/call someone stupid for believing college isn’t entirely as it’s made out to be when it comes to surviving.
the whole point of ur first year of college is to teach u very basic shit 💀 like obviously ur not gonna leave knowing all these very specific shits u need for a job ✋💀 the point of uni is to teach u to do ur own research and learn how to develop skills not to show u the specific skills u need for the industry 💀🙏 if u go into uni thinking ur gonna come out knowing 1000% how to do a specific job, maybe consider going to a community college that teaches you a trade instead
Nowhere did I say I’m judging people for not attending college and it not being for everyone. I’m saying higher education regardless of your degree is never a scam because knowledge is beautiful. I’m not talking about life post college because the job market is shit and the price you have to pay is a scam. I’m saying gaining knowledge is not a scam
