I think what is coming across wrong is the fact that the original post while said in a joking way, gives off the idea that trans women are “realer” than cis women. We’re all women, and we all have different struggles and to pit those struggles against each other in an idea of “who’s the more real woman” feels tasteless to a lot of people.

i think my issue with this is that the post is a joking response to trans women constantly getting called “not real women” or “fake women”. it’s like lesbians or bi women saying they’re better than straight women in a joking way and straight women getting offended over that because it’s unfair. we don’t think we’re realer women, it’s just a joke because of how cis people treat us if i make sense

Yeah that’s fair, trans women are women. It just kinda sucks that to make the point that trans women are women, the claim has to be made that they’re the “realest women”
