i’m rolling back to this bc i thought of smth else. i stopped fw sydney after the diet maga party fiasco but the fact she does nothing about her racist white supremacist fans…. it’s gonna be funny seeing her pivot when she dwindles
this may be unpopular on here but sydney sweeney weird af and if she keeps catering to incels her career decline is going to be just as loud, or louder, as her rise. the moment she shows signs of aging or even gains weight- her audience will turn on her

and added context: sydney made an ig post abt her grandmas birthday and im the photo ppl had maga hats, parody maga hats, blue lives matter shirts while they were in a bar and dressed in country attire. and when she got backlash she did a woe is me “i just wanted to celebrate my grandma”

dude what is she supposed to do abt her fans who she can’t control supporting her? does she personally know them, give them gifts and money? ask them to be her fan? and im sure many leftists go to family gatherings where they have conservative relatives and *gasps* might still want to see them. sorry a woman wants to see/celebrate her grandma that’s not exactly “woe is me.” jesus christ you ppl are insane over celebs and their lives

if she can go in the internet to cry on live or post her best thirst traps anytime aomwone calls her mid online (even obscure tweets and comments w 0 likes) then she most definitely has seen the countless of racist fans using her as their aryan princess. hell alot of her male fans love her for “killing woke” ads and shit. she could at least condemn them and say don’t use her likeness to spread hate but yet she doesn’t but is quick to “clab back” at haters when she’s called ugly.

and i don’t care about a white persons conservative family. she didn’t have to post everyone at the party in political attire- she could’ve chose different photos but she didn’t. especially in a post donald trump america.

i mean i rlly don’t follow much on her but i looked it up rn and there was a point last year where she said she has followers with weird obsessions on her and not much else she can control, which is true. and she posted one photo having fun where an older relative was wearing a back the blue shirt somewhere in it. so what? literally so what. that doesn’t mean she’s screaming it herself and donating all her money. maybe she doesn’t wanna get in the middle of all of that so deeply and be some huge

celeb activist. yeah maybe she comments on ppl calling her ugly bc that’s abt her personally. doesn’t mean she has to also comment on politics. she could simply just wanna focus her socials to be abt her and her work instead of starting to get in drama. bc if she does comment it will stir up drama that she actually had a part in. just bc weirdos wanna obsess over a random pretty actress doesn’t mean the actress is the one in the wrong lmfao. you AND the weirdos gotta stop caring sm abt these ppl

so someone saying they don’t stand for racism and using their face to spread it is commenting on politics?

both yes and no tbh, yes. only because of our political climate it WILL stir up political drama even more, and it will be based off of her own actions rather than random ppl she has no control over. while a good statement to make overall, social media is a hellhound for making every little thing political and sparking lots of arguments and issues. honestly the country party she held proved her right. i looked further into it and the ppl with the “make 60 great again” hats weren’t even family

members, but friends of her mom. not only that, they wore the hats as a joke bc they were coming from LA to Idaho, which is more country, stereotypically more conservative, so they wore it to kinda joke at some of the conservative party/country alignment at a country themed event. so that showed her ppl take things so so so far without knowing everything. she said she was only a college student a few years ago, now she’s got this mass following, so i imagine that very quick rather than gradual

transition into the limelight is very stress inducing when you would never receive that kind of treatment when you’re “regular” due to closer bonds and relations being your viewership and not being so misinterpreted, spreading to insane hate. so yes it makes sense to stay away from any type of “political” topic, esp now that the one has nothing to do with her BUT her looks. she doesn’t control her weird fans, she is allowed to keep her sanity from being apart of insane internet discourse abt her
