I’m so over seeing girls on tiktok say “I’d rather get cancer than a Pap smear”. No. No tf you wouldn’t. I can say from experience cancer is fucking worse. Preferring 3+ years of chemo and radiation vs a 2 minute pap smear is actually ridiculous

As someone with vaginismus (NOT #2) I would take the brief pain of a Pap smear over cancer literally any day because I’m not out of my fucking mind

Like womp womp yall didn’t go through 3+ years of chemo, radiation, blood draws, spinal taps, and cocktails of medications that took away your hair, your joy, and your whole life really, you have no idea how awful it truly and saying you’d rather get it is disrespectful and wrong

And ngl the Pap smear isn’t even the most painful part of the gyno for me, it’s whatever they do when they put their fingers inside and press down with the force of an elephant on my uterus. Even had a gyno who had acrylics do that once 🫩

No fr mine wasn’t painful (and mind you it was my FIRST and they found abnormal cells which is even more of a reason to get one) it was just uncomfortable and lasted less than 3 minutes
