erm that same logic applies to capitalism then. because in theory capitalism should be a way for everyone to earn wages based on their workload and benefit the consumer and the invisible hand would keep things in check. but obviously capitalism isn’t great either right now.

there just isn’t a way to implement communism effectively. PEOPLE HAVE TRIED. it absolutely kills progression, self advancement, consumer benefit and quality, and results in mass poverty as people don’t need/want to work because there’s no benefit in it. no self own businesses. no saving up for a better car. extremely limited foreign trade. it only works on very very small scales like private communes. which you CAN do in america…. even the most progressive countries are still capitalist

Communism lifted the largest number people out of poverty in history. None of that is true, it’s anticommunist propaganda. Many people have tried and it HAS worked in multiple corners of the earth. There is a benefit to working if you’re actually in community and care about them…, capitalism divorces us from that community. Why would you want businesses to exist to ONLY benefit one person or a board of people? When in communism the means of production are owned by the workers and equally split?

the same logic does apply to capitalism. that’s exactly what i’m saying. capitalism is FLAWED. in all likelihood, communism is FLAWED. i don’t think we’ve found a perfect system because i don’t imagine that one exists. BUT—to say that leftism cannot be implemented more effectively than it has been is an insane jump. & the deaths of people under a political system are not only caused by the political system. especially when there is rampant corruption within the government, among other factors.
