Literally
Dooooont care. She saw a hate-filled sack of shit and decided she loved it. Then when that same sack of shit gets killed by the very thing he was ACTIVELY IN THAT MOMENT arguing to protect, everyone feels bad? They were both shitty humans.

The same side that combatted misinformation now shamelessly uses it to their advantage. Left vs right used to feel like right vs wrong, rational vs irrational. But now, it feels like wrong vs wrong, irrational vs irrational. I learned that killing is bad no matter what, ESPECIALLY if there are other options. If we can’t agree on that, then you are lost.

So basic respect and morality no longer applies? If you are reading this, answer with a yes or no to that question.

To people who are white supremacists? Yes it no longer applies to them.

During COVID, the left, which I proudly associated myself with, were moderate, logical, and science supporting. Of course this was from my limited high school perspective, but it seemed as though Trump and a lot of republicans were simply a bunch of science denying conspiracy theorists. I did not agree with the far right in the slightest. But slowly, I began to see the same kind of illogical, conspiratorial thinking emerge from the left.

Of course there are still many moderates on both sides, but the pool of extremists just keeps growing and growing.

1) the moderate “left” you saw during covid were probably center right bc American political spectrum is skewed so far right 2) ok and? like idk what the point of that reply

This is actually crazy. You cant admit for a second you might be wrong.

The fact that I disagreed with you once doesn’t mean you have to reject everything that I say. That is a quality of someone who is run by their emotions, rather than their brain. I am for some kind of gun control and think that white supremacy is bad. Will you disagree with me on that next?

All I said was that idk what your point was bc it was completely unrelated and now you’re upset bc your feefees are hurt somehow?

Yes actually I’m upset. I’m upset that more and more people are turning to extremism, thinking they can use it to suppress the opposing side, when in reality they will just create more of it. I have to live in this country you know?

Thanks for the downvote 👍 It’s a shame that you will go on to spread the same thing you fight against

If you disagree with me that political violence is wrong, then I suggest that you look at the statements made by prominent democrats, such as Obama, Biden, Sanders and many others.

I think more and more people are turning to extremism because the light at the end of the tunnel that is a free democratic process just keeps getting dimmer and dimmer every time an executive order is signed. People aren’t seeing a nonviolent way out of this. It’s just going to keep getting more and more violent until something snaps.

Thank you for providing an actual response. I agree that the current administration has been very unconventional, to say the least. But I believe that we still have the large majority of our freedoms, and murdering charlie kirk in such a gruesome way has made everything much worse. The light at the end of the tunnel got even dimmer, and continues to get dinner every time violence is celebrated. That is my opinion.

I agree, the left has grown and become as extreme as the right, which just leads to chaos and hatred on both sides

Right? Like why can’t the main difference between left and right just be the economy again 😔 I’m tired of debating about what human rights are

People after see “wow we’re becoming more and more extreme on both sides,” but never question who caused it.

Honestly I don’t even care about who caused it, I have my own opinions about that but right now all we need is to spread love and stop pitting the country against itself

I know it’s easy to point fingers, and sometimes people deserve to have the blame put on them. But I feel like once you start pointing fingers you will stop questioning yourself as well. There are thousands of issues, I don’t think any one entity is responsible for all of them.

I’m not gonna love a party that wants me and my friends dead. Stay safe in your ivory tower though.

That is an example of a generalization, also I’m not telling you to love anyone. There are plenty of right winger with extreme ideas, and that’s exactly what I’m speaking out against when I say “extremism is bad”. Don’t get mad at me, don’t get mad at Republicans, get mad at the extremists.

Extremely privileged thing to say, bc you’re acting passive saying “extremism is bad, let’s love each other.” Attitudes like this is the reason why we’re in this position.

Again, Im not saying “let’s love each other”. You just said the republican party (I assume) wants you dead. ABSOLUTE generalization and therefore a lie. Extremism and misinformation got us here and you are still participating in it.
