They are grasping at straws. His family is conservative is conservative therefore he is, ignoring the fact his family has spoken out and said he was the only liberal in the family. He wore a Trump costume for Halloween one time, because dressing up up as someone is definitive evidence you support their views.
personally i notice what a privilege it is to live in the US and the left seems to do the opposite so i think the morals of the left have turned me away more than anything. i feel like they want to prioritize the wellbeing of other countries above ours but i could’ve misunderstood that. maybe i’ve just only been exposed to it from the left but they also seem to misconstrue info a lot more and i feel that fuels a very toxic environment of only seeing the worst in people especially when it’s fake
The Democrat left is very much attuned to the “needs of the world” but not their own country. They don’t ask big questions or try to dig deeper than what’s already there on the page. You can have morals and be Republican, independent, apolitical, etc. The left loves to misconstrue information. Watch how CNN reports information and then go find the actual truth. Fox News is the same way, but they ask questions that DO make you think about both sides of the issue. Again, find the info nonbiased
It’s not wrong to care for others and want to bring the rest of the world up to speed, but we have so many problems here domestically. We can’t keep butting into everyone else’s problems or send them millions of dollars to fix whatever we think is broken. Our lawmakers must make an effort to fix what is broken HERE first before trying to lobby foreign governments for their interests. The left likes to play the “I’m morally superior” card like it’s a game when it’s not about one-upping anyone
the right does this too and more often from what I’ve seen, but that’s just an availability heuristic. there’s both dems and republicans who do it, it’s not a party thing. and imo the left does focus on our country and what to fix here, and to me the right is waging a culture war just to garner more votes by targeting minorities.
The Democrat party loves to play identity politics, far more than the right. The right wants to bring people into the fold whereas the left actively insults anyone who doesn’t align with their beliefs. Look at who acts more composed. Yes, there are members of both parties who do this, but who is the party that frequently calls for violence against their political opponents?
