Trans men are (almost) always more respectful & less aggressive and threatening. Being socialized as a girl growing into a woman is so different than the reverse. Obvi not all trans women are like that, but it really is something that upsets me

I grew up with the expectations of being a girl for like 10 years, but my parents raised respectful people, and my cis brother should end up about the same as me (when he’s done being a middle schooler)

True and real 🫡 I never saw myself as a girl nor understood how I was a girl to everyone else until puberty when I realised eventually that I was perceived as a woman but also didn’t really care until I did. I never thought of myself as a girl or woman

I genuinely would rather people stand on their ideals and just hate all men instead of trying to say how trans men are inherently diffrent than cis men because they think we possess some deep inherent understanding of womanhood because a doctor looked at our baby genitals and said “wow that’s a girl!”

I’m also a trans man and do believe I grew up a girl and understand girlhood better than cis men at least, but holy shit you cannot make sweeping statements about all trans men 😭 and I would rather be seen as a man over a masculine woman any day even if that means being told I suck constantly

And just to be clear (not saying you disagree, just throwing this out there for readers), even if a trans person DID think of themselves as their “pre transition gender,” that does NOT invalidate their current gender identity. People are just so rabid these days that trans people are forced to jump through hoops to prove their “purity” as the gender that they id as to cis people. Cis people aren’t interrogated this way about THEIR identity.

I would rather people don’t put people into black-and-white boxes and then paint them with a broad brush, period. I understand being angry and saying something like that in the heat of the moment, but when questioned, they should admit that the statement is not *literally* correct. Because it obviously isn’t.
