getting downvoted but I’m not saying anything WRONG. I am literally talking about straight people here, I think a large chunk of straight people are bisexual
I truly think that like. most people are at least mildly bisexual at a functional/attraction level, but like for most people it isn’t enough one way or another to like. identify with the label? idk attraction is weird and labels are also weird

This argument works for straight people and not LGBTQ people bc we’ve spent a lot more time thinking about and exploring who we are whereas the majority of straight people haven’t. Of course there is a huge difference between saying the lesbian you’ve met “might be bi and not know it” and saying that my mom, for example, might be bi and not know it.

so the thing is that no one should be questioning other people's sexuality or trying to invalidate them just bc someone is straight does not mean you can do this to them if someone identifies as straight then they are straight and you have no right to say otherwise

I’m kinda afraid to get involved in this one not gonna lie…but I think there’s a case to be made that a significant portion of straight people don’t realize that they’re bi (also pan, aro, or ace) either because attraction to the same gender is so minimal that it isn’t noticeable, or because we’re often taught that being attracted to the same gender just doesn’t happen or is weird and wrong, or because society dismisses it as “man crushes” or just two girls just “being friends”

Esp with middle aged folk who are not in spaces that would tell them that finding the opposite gender attractive could mean they’re bisexual. Like it’s just a quirky haha thing for them. My mom confessed that if she hadn’t been dating my dad at the time, she probably would have married her college best friend, who she made out with one time at a party. And she doesn’t consider herself bi, it’s just part of who she is

So yes, I think that some straight people, especially older straight people, could actually be bi and not realize because either they don’t know how to recognize attraction to the same gender or they don’t think anything of it because they wouldn’t act on it or it doesn’t happen very often
