It’s kind of embarrassing watching people make these jokes in hindsight because they’re so detrimental to the people who struggled to get these films made, as well as a disservice to some of our favorite filmmakers who have Ingmar Bergman and Andrei Tarkovsky to thank for giving them hope and a voice. Anyone who still gets mad at these movies or the people who watch them needs to get on hbo max right now and put on Persona!
