i think the best first step is to find a therapist or psychologist who has experience with ASD individuals. They may not be able to give you a certifiable diagnosis, but mine usually frames things as “through the lens of ASD” when I can’t tell if it’s me being over emotional or overthinking or if it actually is valid ASD symptoms. i’m low support needs, so it’s hard as fuck to get people to understand that yes I have ASD AND yes I work 3 jobs & finishing a post-grad degree to start another...
