i’m so sick of making significant time/money commitments to things just to be cancelled on. i will explain in very clear terms how much i am giving up to do something and of course they cancel as soon as i can no longer change my plans

Honestly I think you just need new friends cause the lack of respect for your money, time, and energy is a huge red flag.

additional context, day two is my cousin. she told me two years ago that she would visit me at college all the time (couple hours away) and has not done so once. she just made plans to visit my brother in spain (a different continent.)
