idk if it’s safest in general to take medical advice from people who can’t spell antidepressant, fluoxetine, or SSRI *AND* don’t cite their sources, but it’s best to stay out of the heat, drink water, and cover up/wear sunscreen either way.

If your doctor or pharmacy gives a shit about you in the slightest, they will tell you this. Mine even gives out mini sunscreen with prescriptions over the summer lol

this is kind of a bitchy post ngl. why are you making fun of mispellings? the info they gave was correct anyway

It’s horribly misspelled but if you do a little research, there’s some truth to it. Either way, hydrate up and wear sunscreen. What’s the worst that could come of it?

also the “you are” and not “you may be” language is key. this side-effect is most common in people also taking other medications in combination. setting a standard of spreading half-truths about people’s health is wrong, even if the one half-truth you’re spreading in particular is not as harmful as it could be.

this is kind of a privileged take. it’s your responsibility to read the white paper of any med you start, and not every doctor or pharmacy has the extra time and resources to do this.

how is it a privileged take they’re right it doesn’t take any extra time or resources to say one sentence to a pt who’s getting prescribed medication they’re not saying they have to also hand out sunscreen

actually it’s the law for your pharmacist to go over the risks and effects when giving you a new medication, and upon request for existing prescriptions.

My sibling in Christ that is the LAW.
