My boss literally said ‘everyone has health issues’ and ‘we can’t bend over backwards for you’ when I missed bc of my disability 💀

My boss told me that if I’m late one more time, I’ll get a written warning… I can’t help that I have time-blindness. Honestly I think he’s just ableist, and doesn’t like me because I’m autistic/ADHD, non-binary, and openly polyamorous.

The ADA only covers reasonable accommodations. Allowing you to continually show up late is not a reasonable accommodation. You say you work at a university? Coordinate with their disability/accessibility office to figure out a solution.

Attendance accommodations CAN be made (I have them through the university). Also, with all due respect, you entirely misread the post. I wasn’t ‘continually showing up late’, I no call-no showed bc I was physically unable to call.
