We’re talking greatest QB’s in franchise history I’ve seen Russ take bad Seahawks teams to the playoffs and win a game, while if the team hasn’t had top talent Jalen Hurts has been shit stomped twice in the playoffs. Yes Russ has severely digressed but that’s been since he’s left Seattle. It’s not fair to judge his Seattle time by his Broncos, Steelers, and now Giants stint.
I don’t understand how he could be the MVP if his performance is consistently good not great when he’s got the fucking justice league surrounding him. I respect him a lot because VERY few qbs can adapt to so many playbook changes but his on field performance has never been enough for me to think he’s the best player in the league
Hurts had 4461 total yards, 35 total touchdowns, and only 6 picks and 2 fumbles lost and went 14-1 in the 15 games he started as the eagles secured the nfc one seed, after only winning 9 games the year before. For comparison, Josh Allen in 2024 had 4262 total yards, 40 total touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and 2 fumbles lost, and went 12-4 in games he started and finished. That’s pretty damn close
True, but honestly if you really think agout it, hurts receivers weren’t considered “elite” until that season. Before 2022 the eagles hadn’t had a 1000 yard receiver since 2014 I believe. Aj had 869 yards in 2021 and smitty had like 916. Given all that though yeah Allen’s receiving core is hot stinky doo doo garbage especially so during the mvp season.
