As someone who cat sits (12+ cats of varying ages at once)- I recommend getting a teenager. Very young kittens are a lot of work and do not quite understand how to “play nice” and generally are very destructive if you do not watch them 24/7. They’re very cute- and will love you forever- but that love will consist of them play fighting you claws out (ouch) and bringing you their own shit. If you have the time&energy to house train them- go for it- if you don’t- don’t do it- trust me.

Even a teenager. I live at home and apparently my 2 year old cat literally stays up when I’m gone and waits for me at the door. Sleeps the same exact time as me. Even with 4 other people in the house
