Where’s the inconsistency? He’s saying that if private texts are taken as representative of a political party, that rule should apply universally. Unless you can show a meaningful difference between the cases, either both are representative or neither are.

Also the inconsistency is obvious one person seems to be saying that personal impacts move policy while the other was a group chat full of republicans making nazi references.
