I used to do combat sports and have gotten my shit R O C K E D by women a foot and a half shorter than me. Strength and size doesn’t matter much, it’s all skill.

It’s not all skill otherwise there would be no weight classes. A professional female fighter would most likely beat the average man but a professional male fighter would beat a female fighter 99 of 100 times just like in pretty much all sports

“In pretty much all sports” That tells me all I need to know about your views on the subject.

Like, obviously in some sports that’d matter, but saying it’s 99% all the time is ludicrous.

I mean, a professional male athlete will have an advantage over a professional female athlete because there’s no skill gap that makes up for the physical differences. NBA players would beat WNBA players one on one, Djokivic would beat both Serena and Venus, a woman couldn’t play in the NFL unless she kicked or punted etc and this isn’t because women aren’t great athletes in their own right and don’t deserve more recognition, just a simple observation

That’s largely true. But the specificity of my argument is important. In many weapon-based combat sports, strength is largely a non-factor. It’s primarily a skill-based competition. There’s a reason why fencing is commonly a unisex competition.

It’s cool, I made the classic mistake of not reading the post you were reposting
