If I had to choose between someone burning a flag to advocate for social change in America or a MAGA hat wearing bigot who wants to kick people out and objectively harm it just because he’s uncomfortable with their presence, I’d say the first person is a patriot. The latter says they love their country, but they actively harm it more than they ever help it.
