So from mt understanding people who've committed a civil offense deserved to be treated like this, but rapist & sex traffickers, & murderers just get a slap on the wrist....

It likely could be considered that, but you have to let them get to court for it to be a slam dunk court case, if the admin just doesn’t let them have a trial and deports them without due process, then they can’t actually win their case. Illegal? Absolutely Can it be stopped? Honestly I’m not sure
