This is exactly how propaganda works, it takes moments out of context to make certain people look a certain way. It’s understandable that there is an element of seriousness today, but we’re not robots, and it’s important to give yourself permission to smile today because of how dark and dismal today was 25 years ago, that’s a very heavy mental load to take in.
