Counterpoint: who has actually ever met a person that wants to be referred to with these pronouns lol. Like, honestly, have you ever actually seen this shit in the real world beyond some bozo with the pronouns “fuck/off” in their bio complaining about it?
Pronouns are fine. If you want she he or them that’s cool I don’t care. But when you start demanding “xem” or “this one” please fuck off.

I’ve met one, but I don’t think they were annoying about it? We didn’t interact much outside of class and I think they were fine with they/them pronouns.

I was the person and honestly it was really nice using that set. I still wouldn’t mind it, I just also use a more conventional set too now

and personally I think it’s a problem that will end up resolving itself. the language will only adopt as many pronouns that we can reasonably all remember and use effectively. The others will drop out of use in ten years

Frankly I don’t even think it’s a problem to begin with, like it is such a minor thing to respect in casual conversation, it takes so little effort for as rare as this is. Just a goofy thing to make a stink about.
