News flash maga. Helping veterans is DEI too. But then again y’all don’t actually care about our vets, you just like to use them for political talking points

cheese_of_the_world_unite

Republicans be like: “We support veterans way more than those DEMONRATS who HATE our military!” and then cut the Department of Veterans’ Affairs budget

No it’s not, they have a whole VA department

There’s a massive difference what r u talking about. Helping veterans is good because they served our country and deserve to live above the poverty line. DEI is giving privilege and opportunities to people based on race alone not merit. So it’s the deserving vs the undeserving

Fell for what DEI is inherently the opposite of meritocracy. I doubt you know what that is so please educate yourself and look it up. Explain to me how I’m wrong

dude don’t talk about educating when you clearly don’t even know what DEI is about. DEI is about giving equal opportunities to everyone. It has a specific focus on making sure underprivileged groups get a chance. If someone is hiring on race and not merit that IS wrong. That’s not what DEI is tho. They are gonna be people who say they’re doing DEI and do that part and they are wrong for that but DEI by itself is not that.

Sure DEI has the goal of equal opportunity, at the expense of efficiency. Let’s use the NBA for example, and predominantly black league. DEI says there should be more Latinos, more Asians, and more whites. Why does no one have a problem with that? If Boeing had to hire and certain number of minorities they would be passing over more qualified candidates to fill that quota

Just insulting him does not make it true. If you’re talking about Joe Biden then that would be true since there is many cases of him literally not being able to speak coherently. As for his criminal record most of that was proven to be fabricated accusations. He was tried in the NYC court, a democrat fortess city, and still wasn’t imprisoned. He’s not using some special loophole, this all happened under the previous administration

Again that’s not what DEI is. With the NBA example. That’s not saying no there should be more of other races. It’s not a fucking quota. It’s just asking the question, why is this dominated by black people? And then digging into further trying to expands basketball into other communities. You still need to be good to be in the NBA. It’s just a matter of giving all opportunities and equal opportunity to even be able to get to that stage to be able to even be considered. They still need skill

That’s not what I’m saying. 2 people can be qualified at the same time for a position. But when one of them is objectively a stronger candidate, but is overlooked by the other due to factors outside of competency and merit, that is DEI and it’s wrong. This issue happened in our colleges. Asians and white Americans were discriminating against in favor of filling quotas and allowing more black people in, even though they might’ve not had as strong a resume

Ok then why isn’t he in jail right now? Why is he our President? Why wasn’t he given a strict sentence if all those accusations were true? Honestly even if he did all the things he was accused of what democrat leadership does is far far worse

I’m not saying inclusion is a bad thing, it’s good. But how it’s put into practice in so many fields is not good. Even if we gave minorities more priority in jobs and college acceptances, where do we reach the point where we no longer need to. Your need for more inclusion implies that things aren’t even right now. So how is swapping around which race needs more privilege going to help. Isn’t the only even playing field here one’s own ability, outside of race or background?

Yes they need skill. I used the nba example because players are chosen because they are the best, and the best just so happen to be predominantly black people. Why should this concept be any different in every field. If a engineering company wants to grow and expand their company, they should want to hire the most qualified, not the most diverse

They are still hiring the most qualified. Companies are starting to realize the the most qualified just so happens to not always be white people. And even then dude white people are the majority in most companies in America

Just because a company is getting more people of color doesn’t meant they aren’t hiring based off merit. Look up the history of left handedness study. It’s the same concept

It isn’t 1960 anymore. Not sure if you realized but companies have realized this for a while. If the most qualified candidate for a job gets the job and he’s black and most of his colleagues aren’t that’s not DEI he deserves to be there. You also aren’t considering that some races or sex enter into specific workforces. Construction workers are mostly men. Is that an issue? Same for nurses being mostly women? It’s mostly white men that get positions in corporate businesses because majors like…

Economics finance and business are predominantly white. Colleges are plenty diverse so why are engineers full of Indians and Asians? Because they make up most of the pool of applicants

Aight dawg no point tryna talk to you anymore. There’s no way I could convince you to believe in basic inclusion and equality when you just said “Indians and Asians” do any research at all before talking about DEI. Have a nice night

If he should be in jail it shouldn’t be a politician issue it’s a criminal issue. It’s not up to democrats or republicans to find out if he’s guilty. Democrats being soft on Trump is not the reason at all. If democrats had enough evidence to convict he would’ve been convicted, and that evidence would have been posted all over the internet. But it wasn’t, because much of the evidence was inconclusive

R u angry I separated Indians and other Asians. Dude I know Indians are technically Asians, but even on applicants they are viewed separately. It doesn’t matter what race it is you aren’t acknowledging any of the points im making

I already acknowledged stuff. you keep thinking DEI means screw merit when I already told you it isn’t. If someone is screwing merit that is wrong it always has been but you keep thinking DEI isn’t that already so respectfully not tryna converse anymore

How do you measure merit? In 2024, Dwight Jackson changed his name on a job application after being rejected. He used the same exact resume and details. It wasn’t until he changed his name to a more white American name that he got an interview. So, how do you measure merit if DEI is so unfair?
