I know you’re doing some bullshittery, you dunceheaded fuck. Most other democracies have a prime minister for their head of state government

Due to some whimsical bullshittery in that type of election system it kinda is if one party gets the majority of the vote.

They are a South American country … most South American countries do direct popular vote (w runoff if needed)

Correct. Presidential systems are most common in the Americas (based on the USA), while Europe has more prime ministers. Uruguay is one of the most democratic nations on the planet. Note that your post said there’s NO democratic countries with a popular vote. Uruguay disproves that.

Nope since they do first past the post as well (most of the time). Famously, in 1951, Labour won the popular vote, but Churchill returned to power since the conservatives got more seats. Same thing in Canada in 2019 and 2021- conservatives ahead in vote share, liberals get more seats Not all though, IE Netherlands has a proportional representation where you get 1% of seats if you get 1% of vote

Most of Europe has a mixed regional proportional representation. And Netherlands also has that issue since they have so many parties Geert Wilders won the plurality by far, and ended up grabbing a majority coalition after 6 months but had to give up the PM position
