i got lucky in that we read it with like, 3 other dystopian novels so we didn’t hammer on objectivism, just discussed what each author thought was wrong with society

The only reason why any Red states at all lead in some hyper specific metrics is because they lead off of federal funding created by blue states. You gotta look at the whole picture.

Well I mean you didn’t even say all positive metrics initially, then you narrowed it to positive metrics. The conservatives are going to look for any detail that is untrue about statements then blow it up to try to make the whole thing untrue. Then just shut down their brains cuz “well that was a lie” so we aren’t going to gain any ground if we are making these broad insults that aren’t technically true.

since 2015 higher education cost have multiplied exponentially Since 2020 student test scores in red states (with the exception of Mississippi and maybe one other) have dropped, literacy rates are beginning to decline, the Department of Education has been dismantled, only after it was ran by the Wify of the head of the WWE. Do you actually believe that the Republican Party (or their leadership) wants people to be more educated?

Higher education costs have been exploding for decades that didn’t start in 2015. Educational attainment has risen anyways. Which is a more likely explanation for a dip in test scores after 2020?: A.) disruptions from the global pandemic B.) it’s been the end goal of capitalism for the last two centuries, but only suddenly starting happening the same year as the global pandemic

Do you think that American history post 1940 has been solely driven by this unique brand of Republican capitalism? Or was there a paradigm shift after Reagan? And even more so post citizens United and Trump?

Look I know it sounds daunting but you don’t just flip 40M people over night. You only need one or two at a time to flip, then compound that by everyone else doing it, at whatever rate you’re moving at. 100% of them don’t stick their heads in the sand every single time.
