I’ve been a Democrat since I started following politics ten years ago, and it’s very disappointing that the party leaders refuse to listen to their constituents. I’m definitely not gonna vote for Republicans, but Dems need to do better.

As long as Citizens United & Buckley v. Valeo (1978, deregulated lobbying) stand, politics is just a charade to keep us 50/50 so we won’t notice we’re getting screwed by both sides. Biden promised not to personally take lobbyist $, but when asked if he would expect the same of Congress, he laughed and said “HA, SoMeOnE’s been listening to a little too much Bernie.” Had they? Or is Bernie’s “government shouldn’t be bought” ‘conspiracy theory’ looking less conspiratorial with each passing day?

The majority of the US has no idea what progressive politics are because the furthest “left” anyone in power is willing to go is “MAYBE we can free healthcare”

Republicans = “we can make America great just by annoying the other side & selling our govt out to billionaires!” Radical left = “we can make America great again by returning to the tenets of our ancestors; a strong public education system, infrastructure that isn’t a generation+ behind and falling apart, consumer & labor protections which actually protect consumers/laborers, a govt which busts monopolies up rather than sucking their teet, etc.” Who seems crazier rn? SoOoO hard to spot.
