ahh leftists: a fringe, irrelevant group that no one should care about according to the dnc while simultaneously being big enough to sway elections in favor of republicans thus getting ruthlessly blamed for the dem candidate losing

Leftists also act this way towards the DNC, and then scream for the DNC to help them when the fascists do something that was preventable by voting. There’s a cost/benefit analysis when shifting your positions to court a certain group in a way that isolates others, and if the costs outweigh the benefits (i.e. they lose more voters than they gain), why should they shift? I don’t condone doing this at all, but I’m explaining where I think the DNC may be coming from

I’m afraid it’s a little more sinister. The reality is leftist policies go directly against the rich that fund the DNC. The rest is theater

There’s that too, but I think what I said plays a role as well

I think what you said cuts the DNC too much slack tbh. There are several issues the Democratic Party refuses to shift on that leftists hold the popular vote on, like Israel

You’re pitching liberalism. Because it feels better to pretend that there is a legitimate political option under capitalism that is not fascist collaborationist. Lateral organization, community armament, directly housing and feeding your comrades means and is more than any amount of money and volunteer hours burnt up by the duopoly on the alter of capital.

While that’s incredibly helpful at the local level, it doesn’t do much at the national level. It doesn’t do anything to prevent bills being passed to fund ICE’s massive surveillance apparatus for not only immigrants, but anyone who criticizes the agency too
