So should we tip healthcare workers too for lower insurance premiums? When people are uninsured, the insured pay for it too. Insurance companies factor in the cost of uncompensated care into premiums for those paying for insurance. So a portion of our premiums pays for the costs of the uninsured.
Yes but thats how that system is suppose to function, we aren’t talking about a vital service we all pay into and theoretically we all may all need we’re talking about Olive Garden. My criticism of you is different depending on what your take is. Why do you think the current tipping system is bad?
Obviously bc how the current system is supposed to work if they give good service they’re entitled to a tip, not legally but I would argue socially. I’m even fine with people saying I don’t want to tip bc I’m incentivize to not tip, but then I think employees shouldn’t serve you or should give you bare minimum service bc that’s what they’re incentivized to do in that case.
