Oh no, violent criminals have to do more than sit around on their ass while incarcerated. The sheer horror, I’m sure even their victims wouldn’t want that.

That amendment is what helped kick of Jim Crow. Jim Crow wasn’t just about segregation it made being black illegal and we see some of the highest incarceration rates of black men around this time so that their labor could be out sourced to large companies. Even now, we see black men and black teenage boys are more likely to get longer prison sentences all so that their labor can be exploited

How many do you personally know locked up for weed who are subject to slavery? I’m sure even you know this is stupid.

Via the federal bureau of prisons, 42.5% of those incarcerated are there for drug offenses. Comparatively 3.6% are there for “Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and Kidnapping Offenses” and 14.3% are there for sex offenses of all types. Prison labor is not distinguished by type of crime bro. They don’t go “oh here’s the murderers they do the labor.” It’s just everyone in prison.

Okay, well it’s weird you guys scream about the opioid crisis and the fentanyl crisis that you WONT do anything about nor advocate good governance for other than free needles for addicts but now hate when characters responsible are locked up. It may not be violent but it’s antisocial as hell, who also harm society culturally.
