I’m a cis woman who takes hormone anti androgen meds that are actually commonly used by trans women bc my hormones are messed up and I produce too many androgens like testosterone for a woman. Like should I not be allowed to take that bc it balances my body and has feminine effects and gets rid the masculine things and acne and excess hair and stuff I don’t want

If you really wanna take that to the most disingenuous m level of analysis possible by throwing violent crime into the same boat as medication then you’re either extremely stupid or blindly ignorant

Thats the point of the comment. A definition that groups those things together is moronic.

I think it’s a given that “gender affirming care” would not include actions such as violent crime. That goes directly counter to the idea of both providing or receiving care. Again, you’re either extremely stupid or blindly ignorant if that’s the kind of granular and disingenuous logic you wanna run with

Yes, we all agree on that point. That is literally the entire point of the comment.

No, that’s not the point of the comment. I’m saying that #2 would not be including things such as violent crime even within that “broad definition” because it’s a given that those sorts of actions wouldn’t fit under the idea of “care.” You are saying they would in your argument. That is what is either extremely stupid or blindly ignorant. Again, you’re being disingenuous.

You literally responded to a comment asking “what is gender affirming care?”

Yes, obviously everyone is aware that violent crime is not care. The entire point is to show how flawed the definition is.

But let’s take you at your word. Do you think everyone has a right to gender affirmations? If not, how is it relevant to the discussion?

The definition is not flawed. Your understanding of violent abuse being a given non-example is flawed, however. My point is that you’re being so granular and so disingenuous with your point that it’s ridiculous.

I don’t think many people take issue with adults taking evidence based treatments.

We were talking about gender affirming care. Gender affirmations is another thing

Is that really all you’ve got to say about it lmao? If you’re gonna try and make a genuine point in a discussion like this, maybe don’t jump to obviously ridiculous extremes like that?
