Why? They’d just ruin it. This issue is rarely as simple as “give the homeless free housing” since these people have zero self-accountability usually thanks to drugs

Someone needs to take abandoned commercial spaces and convert it into homeless housing. Put in a few showers and if you want to make it actually nice, add some sheds to make tiny homes to make temporary housing

Give the homeless free housing, force the street junkies into rehab, and then commit the rambling street psychotics into psych wards, or at least hook them up with the proper meds. The fact that we don’t do the last few things is why the homeless problem is such an issue in the first place.
