i’m in a class on political violence this semester so ofc we talked about the assassination. my prof at one point said something along the same lines of “why don’t you just ignore it?” and i pointed out that he as a cis white-passing man has the privilege to “just ignore it”. when someone like kirk denounces your literal existence and experiences as a human being you don’t get the privilege to just ignore it.
