“reparations would be more effective” we don’t have ANY right now and never have. since when has the government ever given a fuck about black people? if we did get reparations let’s be real, it wouldn’t be a check you could spend on whatever anyway.

I disagree with reparations in what I consider to be the “typical” sense. I think reparations would be more effective if they were focused on programming in impoverished communities with higher populations of black people.

I’m OP. I am all for reparations we SHOULD have them absolutely. Our government continues to fuck people over and creates cyclical patterns. This is why proper programming is absolutely necessary in restorative justice for POC

id obviously prefer if we got rid of redlining and maybe didn’t restrict access to education behind unrealistic standards of wealth for communities that are systemically predisposed to poverty??
