if gavin newsom wins, he’ll be a repeat of obama and biden. he’ll please no one, change nothing about the status quo and lead to an infinitely worse fascist. we saw this play out w obama and biden. the primary hasn’t started, and we can demand better.

Then who? Who has the popularity to win? This isn’t some perfect world where your perfect candidate will win. Biden was a geriatric old man who should have never been elected. Obama was fine, it just pissed of the right that he wasn’t white.

Newsome isn’t just “not the perfect candidate”, he actively is bad for the progressive movement. He had right wing affiliates of Epstein on his podcast, YEARS after it was known they were connected with him, and did NOTHING but agree with him. Gavin is just a plant for the republicans at this point.

We have two years. Somebody will crop up. If they don’t? Oh well. It’s the democrats job to run a good candidate and I promise you now, Gavin will lose regardless of whether I vote for him or not.
