there is no merit in convincing them. anyone that is still MAGA currently is literally a lost cause. all that can be done now is trying to get non voters to vote and getting the democratic base to vote, so that the people responsible will get their nuremberg moment and so we can finish reconstruction.

they aren’t… republicans are a substantial minority of the population. they didn’t even win a majority of the popular vote, just the largest share. harris lost because several million biden voters stayed home.

they aren’t. again, they’re like 30% of the population. if democrats could just get non voters to vote they’d win every election every time. there’s no convincing someone whose ideas are based on magical thinking. you can’t debate with someone who simply rejects any evidence that contradicts their existing worldview. the only thing democrats should be doing right now is hitting the gym, buying guns and if they’re in a vulnerable group, fleeing the country.

theres not gonna be a civil war because we only fight wars with bombs nowadays and citizens dont have bombs. we may see an increase in politically motivated attacks (like mass shootings or assassinations) but when u say all these things abt civil war ur just expressing that ur angry, u cant actually think these things are going to happen in our extremely lazy/unorganized society

when it gets bad enough it will. with this bill that’s about to pass as well as future legislation from the now imminent dictatorship, a far larger portion of the population is going to be feeling the consequences. when the choice becomes starve to death or lash out at the system, something will happen. and we’re rapidly reaching the point where life will become unlivable for most people

you’re right though, it won’t be a war. it’ll be a slaughter. republicans will murder tens of thousands if not more and democrats, who are afraid of guns will be unable to defend themselves. the US civil war was preceded by half a decade of civilian on civilian warfare in the western territories.
