I agree and disagree. I think these toxic behaviors are normalized in genders that you’re assigned, so displaying the behaviors while being in an “unexpected presentation” will make them stand out more to people who normalize gender roles the most

I think the reason the right associates trans identity with violence is because that’s the only lens they understand gender through at all. They are so engrossed in patriarchy that they can’t imagine gender being important in a non-violent context.

In the context of trans women who do actually commit violence, I definitely think that can be the case! But as far as the narrative that trans people as a whole are more disposed toward violence it’s hard for me to get there just because AFAB people are not socialized that way growing up but face the same kind of stereotyping in my (limited) experience. I definitely see where you’re coming from tho I appreciate the feedback

Oh yeah 100% Cis straight (esp white) men statistically commit most of the violence. Trans shooters are practically negligible when discussing the actual scale of mass violence. Honestly, I’ve not seen cases on AFAB people on my feed so I can’t say
