one to add to the list
-Trump falsely claimed that the Panama Canal is “falling into the wrong hands” implying Chinese intervention, the Panama has no connection with China that would suggest this
I’m gonna do my best to keep track of all the lies Trump promises these next 4 years.
Starting off
-Saying the Russia Ukraine War would end within 24 hours of being elected
-Saying he didn’t know anyone who was invoked with Project 2025
-Trump had expressed his dislike for H1Bs years ago
earlier this week he sJd he never changed his mind on them when he was advocating for them

also to clarify
I’ll update things or correct them as they happen, so if things turn out to be factually true then I’ll acknowledge that

Chinese influence in and around the canal and its vital infrastructure has been 1) well documented and 2) heavily discussed long before Trump’s recent comments.
Here’s a CSIS overview from 2021 on the issue.

Infrastructure developments funded or cooperated with by intentional government does not implicitly mean that the Panama Gov is operating under the Chinese governments wishes.
Trumps “security” comments have no basis. Sorry if that wasn’t clear

thats great and all but trumps comment clearly implies that china is gaining control of panama in some way and thats just not true

I’ve just shared a very extensive overview of how of how that is arguably true. You can disagree with this characterization or ultimate conclusions, but to say that it’s not at all happening it’s just to deny basic fact.

You shared 1 source.
I didn’t dispute the sources information
but infrastructure≠governments working underneath each other
